This wine is half Cabernet Sauvignon, with the rest equal parts Merlot and Syrah, each of which expresses itself. Clearly coming from high-end fruit, bright, fresh aromas of cranberry, dark plum and black currant, and raspberry lead to ripe, full-bodied blueberry and blackberry flavors that pack a punch. The tannins give a firm squeeze. A chocolaty finish caps it off. It's a whole lot of wine for the money.
A multi-layered blend with intense aromatics and flavors of red currants, black cherries, dark chocolate and oak spice. The Nine Hats Red Wine has a wonderfully rich yet refined texture and mouthfeel. Cabernet Sauvignon from the Benches Vineyard at Wallula in the Horse Heaven Hills provides a sturdy backbone and long, pure finish.
