Rated 92
Limpid ruby. Spice-accented black and cherry scents are complemented by suggestions of succulent herbs, vanilla and cola. Silky and appealingly sweet, offering pliant cherry and red berry flavors that show no rough edges. In an appealingly approachable style, showing very good energy and lift on a long, gently tannic finish that echoes the cherry note. 29% new French oak. (Josh Raynolds)
Aromas of roasted spices, black raspberries, lilacs, dark loam, and bramble. Flavor follows with notes of cocoa nibs, toasted anise seed, and black cherry. Textures are rich and silky, with supple acidity. This wine has a lingering finish.
