One of our three gin liqueurs, Edinburgh Gin’s Elderflower Liqueur is handmade in Scotland using the finest native ingredients, locally source from the rural landscapes encircling Edinburgh. Subtle yet complex, this floral liqueur is made from 100% freshly picked elderflowers. Deliciously Scottish A common sight in Scottish hedgerows throughout spring and early summer, elderflowers have a distinctive floral taste that married beautifully with gin botanicals. To Edinburgh Gin’s Elderflower Liqueur, we carefully harvest bunches of the sweetest, most fragrant elderflowers and infuse them into newly distilled Edinburgh Gin. The blooms are then left to macerate for four weeks in order to extract every last bit of flavour. The newly made liqueur is strained through an incredibly fine 10 micron filter to remove the solids, yet retain every drop of intricate elderflower taste. Finally, Edinburgh Gin’s fruit liqueurs are all diluted to 20% ABV. Edinburgh Gin is made by The Spencerfield Spirit Company - Scotland Food and Drink’s Small Business of the Year 2014. With two generations of the Nicol family involved in everything from management to distilling, it’s a family company through and through. Wonderfully Versatile Adorned with a hand-illustrated label covered by blossoms, Edinburgh Gin’s Elderflower Liqueur is a honeyed, flavourful libation that’s perfect for cocktails! With a low ABV, it’s idealy for bringing a summery taste to classic drinks, adding to sparkling wine or even for use in desserts.

| Surrounded by rolling fields of wheat and barley, whilst overlooking the Firth of Forth and monumental Forth Rail Bridge, lies Spencerfield Farmhouse. Steeped in fascinating heritage, the 16th century Fife farmhouse is home to the Spencerfield Spirit Company and its unique, iconoclastic collection of exceptional spirits. Set up by former marketing director of Glenmorangie, and whisky aficionado, Alex Nicol, Spencerfield Spirits prides itself on being a close-knit, family run business. A business where Alex and his wife Jane are whole-heartedly dedicated to providing a quality niche alternative to the more conventional mainstream brands. Their flagship product, the irreverently named, yet seriously flavoursome Sheep Dip was developed in 1970, with its stablemate, the seductively smooth Pig’s Nose being launched three years later. Both award winning whiskies have recently been joined by the refreshingly indulgent Edinburgh Gin and the 1990 Old Hebridean, a first vintage for Sheep Dip. |
