Clos Manou ?Cuvée 1850? is a garage wine of extraordinary quaility produced in the northern Medoc, and is representative of the modern, fruit-forward, concentrated wines that are coming from the left bank of Bordeaux and competing with the famous classified growths. The grapes used to produced ?Cuvée 1850? come from very old vines planted in the 1850s and not touched by the phylloxera disease that ravaged France's vineyards in the 19th century. Because of the rarity of pre-phylloxera vines only 600 bottles of ?Cuvee 1850? are produced.
