This rare handmade Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey with the golden wax capsule and a nice amber color comes from the limited Ancient Cask Private Family Estate Edition and was bottled without adding dyes and chill filtration at 90 Proof / 45. 0% vol. from Cask Lot. No. 12. One of the few still existing bottlings from this extraordinary series of first-class Bourbon and Rye whiskeys from the Olde St. Nick Distillery in Bardstown, which was produced in the early 1980s by Willett respectively Kentucky Bourbon Distillers or in the Stitzel-Weller distillery Lawrenceburg.
Very Olde St. Nick is a whiskey label that was bottled by Julian Van Winkle and Kentucky Bourbon Distillers exclusively for the Japanese export market back in the early 2000s. Back then, the Japanese market was much more interested in super-aged bourbons than the the American market.
