Elegant and beautifully balanced, this Premier Cru Montagny delivers classic Côte Chalonnaise Chardonnay character with a lovely combination of ripe fruit, freshness, and subtle oak. The nose opens with aromas of white flowers, ripe pear, citrus, and orchard fruit, accented by delicate notes of toasted almond and vanilla. On the palate, it is supple and rounded, with layers of yellow apple, pear, and lemon carried by bright acidity and a distinctly chalky, mineral finish. Fine lees aging adds a creamy texture and depth, while restrained oak lends polish without overshadowing the wineâs vibrant fruit and terroir-driven character. . Produced from hand-harvested Chardonnay grown in calcareous clay and marly soils, the wine is gently pressed and fermented and aged on its fine lees in oak barrels, with just 15â20% new oak, for 12â14 months. . A refined, mineral-driven Burgundy with both richness and precision. Drinking beautifully now, with the structure to develop further in bottle.
