âLes Cents Piècesâ, meaning âone hundred barrelsâ, refers to a traditional Burgundian âpièceâ barrel. Planted on east to southeast-facing slopes reaching up to 400 meters in elevation, these Chardonnay vines thrive in the rugged terrain of Montagny, the southernmost village of the Côte Chalonnaise on the edge of the Mâconnais, where high altitude brings vibrant acidity and freshness. . Clear pale yellow in colour with a fresh nose combining floral and mineral notes. The palate is concentrated, well-balanced and taut with a pleasant freshness and good aromatic persistency on the finish.
