This Cuvée Alexandre Merlot is sourced from selected parcels of our own vineyards in the famous Apalta Valley. Explosive flavors of cassis, black cherry and dark chocolate complemented by finely integrated oak, the result is a unique wine true to its origin, a classic expression of Merlot. . Composition. 85% Merlot, 15% Carmenère. Tasting Notes. Color: Beautiful red color, with bright red robe. . Nose: Ripe red fruit, with subtle spices and well integrated oak. . Palate: Good structure, with well defined tannins and a long finish. . 90 points Wine Enthusiast. Hailing from Apalta, this wine starts with aromas of ripe bramble berries. It was aged 14 months in oak barrels and, as a result, the fresh palate showcases bright fruit flavors and light notes of toasted oak, creating a balanced and concentrated mouthfeel.  â Jesica Vargas. 90 points Vinous. This 2022 Merlot Cuvée Alexandre is sourced from Apalta in the Colchagua Valley. It delivers the expected ripe varietal character, with cherry and spices set against a balsamic backdrop. Dry and juicy, with reactive, structured tannins, it leaves a fairly clingy mouthfeel with a lingering balsamic whiff.
