Grape: Chenin Blanc Tasting Notes: Apple, Apricot, Minerals, Grapefruit zest Ken Forrester Vineyards, established in 1993, is renowned for its dedication to Chenin Blancthe South African winemaker often referred to as the "King of Chenin. " The wine is aged for 9 months in French oak barrels (20% new). It is rich, elegant, complex, structured, medium to full-bodied, and balanced, with a creamy texture and vibrant acidity. Yellow apple, nectarine, apricot, honey, caramel, minerals, and grapefruit zest, with a touch of hazelnut, roll over the silky palate. It pairs well with pan-seared fish, smoked salmon, pork, or roasted poultry.
