This release of Ardbeg 25 Year Old is a smoky single malt with layers of sweetness that was matured in ex-bourbon barrels. Aromas of cream, smoke, peppermint, toffee, fennel, pine resin, earthy bonfires and ripe bananas fill the nose, complemented by notes of white pepper, sherbet lemons, candied apples, oranges, pears, tar, carbolic soap, creamy toffee, aniseed, rich smoke and antiseptic throughout the palate.
