The fourth batch of 1996 distilled Loch Lomond (and quite possibly the most complex to date) was nurtured for its final 3 years in Diamond rum casks from Guyana. The result is a delicate, balanced and elegant Scotch whisky. Nose: Creamy vanilla, hint of anise, citrus. Palate: Sweet cereal, dried pineapple, oak. Finish: Oily, hint of ginger, brown sugar.
