TASTING NOTES - This Barbera is bursting with terroir! It's incredibly vibrant and fresh with complex notes of dark berry fruit & earth, leading to a long, layered, silky finish. PRODUCTION NOTES - Il Pendio means the hillside. This single vineyard Barbera is produced from 35 year old vines on the Amoroso family hillside vineyards in Asti. Aged 1 year in a combination of new and used barrique. Aged anadditional 6 months in the bottle. PARK PLACE SOMMELIER PAIRING - Pair with grilled/roasted meats with an herbal/savory preparation, meat-stuffed pastas such as ravioli and agnolotti/risottos and anything tomato-based, especially pizza!
