The nose on the 5 Year displays prominent honeysuckle blooms mixed with soft vanilla and dark caramel. The aromas carry through to a palate of sweet-tart caramel Granny Smith apple that develops into Asian pear and honeydew melon. The finish is soft and long, with lingering cedar notes. A five-year-old rum from Panama-Pacific, matured for three years in ex-bourbon barrels, before being transferred to roasted Tennessee and Canadian rye barrels for a two year finish.
