The number 8 is auspicious in many Eastern Asian countries and throughout the world. In Chinese culture, 8 is considered to be the most prosperous number, as it resembles ‘wealth’, ‘prosperity’ or ‘good fortune’. Multiples of 8 are even more desirable, as 88 resembles ‘double happiness’. Release 3 is a small batch of only 8 casks from the Dailuaine distillery. The casks were filled in February 2013 into American Oak hogsheads. The Dailuaine distillery is situated in the Speyside region of Scotland taking its water from the Bailliemullich Burn.
