Ninety hours of fermentation and slow distillation gives a distinctive fruitiness to Glen Elgin. The contents of a Bourbon Hogshead was finished in three octave casks. You will experience a unique blend of Oloroso and Ruby Port wood finishes. Thanks to this maturation process, there are luxurious aromas of sour cherries, dried plums and figures, ginger and peppers. The richness continues of the palate, with stewed pears, red fruits, dark chocolate, baking spices. Intense flavours of liquorice, burnt caramel, spicy mint on the finish.
