Wine maker notes Santa Carolina is a winery that has thrived for more than a century, managed by two families, the Pereira and the Larrain´s. This icon wine exemplifies the flawless fusion between the past and the present. Grapes from the antique vineyards of the greatest valleys of Chile were processed following Santa Carolina’s original recipe in order to complement contemporary experience and knowledge. As a result, LP comes to life, using the initials of the courageous visionary Luis Pereira, who founded Vina Santa Carolina in 1875.
Producer ”Finca El Origen began in the 1990s, when Chile’s Carolina Wine Brands decided to expand its viticulture activities into Argentina. In 2002, the company began marketing the first wines under the Finca El Origin or ””Farming the Origin”” label. The grapes used in these wines have always been renowned for their quality, having been used by prestigious wineries for their ultra-premium wines. This continental climate gives Argentine Malbecs and Cabernet Sauvignons their characteristic high concentration, intense color, velvety soft tannins, fruitiness, and food friendly low acidity. The regional Torrontes also develop distinctive characteristics that reflect the terroir of the vineyards and their soil composition. ”
