Wine maker notes Aged for 10 months in Hungarian oak barrels, our Merlot shows a deep garnet color and an enticing nose of mulberry, pine, and cocoa powder. The palate is rich with plum, black cherry and cedar that comes through a smooth, supple mouth-feel, finished with soft, round tannins. While delicious to drink now, it should age well for many years.
Producer Founded in 1992 and located on the North Fork of Long Island 80 miles east of NYC, Lieb Cellars has grown from a modest 12-acre vineyard to 4 vineyard sites, 2 tasting rooms and a full-service custom crush winery. Bridge Lane is named after the farm road adjacent to one of Lieb’s vineyards and is Lieb’s second label. The grapes for Bridge Lane Wines are grown sustainably on Lieb’s estate vineyard and sourced from some of the best vineyard sites in New York State. Australian born and trained Russell Hearn has been the winemaker since the start.
